Apollo GraphQL Trust Center

Apollo GraphQL is a tech company that helps developers build apps faster through open source technology called GraphQL. To increase their credibility in the tech space, they wanted to provide their users with updates on data security.  As the UX/UI Designer for this project, I was responsible for designing the Trust Center webpage as well as an intuitive path to finding it.

  • My Role: UX/UI Design Lead

  • Collaborator: Web Developer, Security Team, UX Researcher

  • Key Stakeholders: CTO, CEO

Trust Center Goals

Personas

With insight from the Security team, I developed three specific personas that work in a data security capacity

Interview Questions

I drafted core user stories

Journey Mapping

I created a user journey to find/eliminate the points of frustration users experienced while searching for data security information.

I designed a much more intuitive path to the Trust Center, eliminating those pain points.

Wireframes

I created lo-fi wireframes exploring different layouts for each page as well as navigation designs. These were built as modular and editable Figma components. This enabled me to quickly iterate and review with the team for feedback.

Illustration Iteration

In my illustrations, I wanted to help depict Apollo as a trustworthy company capable of protecting clients’ sensitive data. I explored the metaphor of storing data in a vault while incorporating Apollo’s space theme.
